OUR MISSION
The Canadian Mental Health Association, South Okanagan Similkameen Branch, promotes the mental health of all and supports the resilience and recovery of people experiencing mental illness. CMHA accomplishes this mission through advocacy, education, research and service.
CMHA-SOS is:
- Governed by a Board of Directors comprised of volunteers from the community
- Managed by an Executive Director
- Funded by Interior Health, United Way, Ministry of Housing & Social Development- Gaming, BC Housing, United Way, memberships, fundraising & donations
- Supported by staff, members and community partnerships
COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS
CMHA-SOS is part of the South Okanagan Mental Health & Addictions Coalition. The purpose of this coalition is to provide a forum for the discussion of mental health service delivery issues and change initiatives, and to promote movement towards growth and independence.
