Our Mission – As the nation- wide leader and champion for mental health, CMHA facilitates access to the resources people require to maintain and improve mental health and community integration, build resilience and support recovery from mental illness.

Unity House
The Clubhouse provides social, recreational and educational programs for individuals living with a mental illness. Members volunteer to assist with the meals program that offers lunch daily and dinners twice a week. Takeout meals, beverages and snacks are sold at the concession. There is a referral form that must be completed for membership.

Community Education
In the South Okanagan Similkameen we aim to provide evidence-based education programs that help communities increase resilience, become aware of mental health challenges, and intervene in crisis. We provide suicide intervention training, workplace training, and youth training. Let us help you make your community mentally healthier.

Advocacy
Provides assistance to individuals who feel they have been treated unfairly, or who disagree with how programs and services have been delivered. Advocates are committed to empowering clients to become more knowledgeable and assertive when dealing with their concerns.

Consumer Development Program
Consumer committees in Oliver and Penticton review applications from individuals who have a mental illness for funding for physical, educational, health and personal growth opportunities

Supportive Employment
Provides vocational programs for mental health clients. CMHA is gradually building up this program through contracts for snow shoveling, car detailing and janitorial services.
