Manifesting Mindfulness
Date: Friday May 24th
Time: 1:00pm – 2:30pm
Location: Online via Zoom
With our busy lives and all the information our brains receive, being present with what we are experiencing and feeling in the moment can be difficult. Mindfulness is an attribute that every individual possesses and can manifest in any part of our day whether walking, eating, driving, or resting. Through this workshop we will look at the ways mindfulness can support our wellbeing by reducing stress, increasing awareness and enjoyment, and helping us thrive!
June
Peer Support and Group Facilitation
Date: Monday June 10th
Time: 10:00am-12:00pm
Location: Canadian Mental Health Association Main Street 103-1873 Main Street
This workshop was created to support those who want to support others and aims to generate meaningful discussion on the most important points of peer support and group facilitation.
The session includes education on the importance of maintaining boundaries and awareness of our intentions for sharing personal experiences. There is also a focus on confidentiality and understanding its limitations as well as managing different behaviours that may occur in a group setting.
This workshop is for anyone whose passion is to help others including professionals, support workers, caregivers and individuals taking on a peer support role. The vision for this session is that both those with experience and those who are beginning their journey as helpers can come together to share ideas and support each other.
