Canadian Mental Health Association SOS branch we believe in a recovery vision of service with the idea that people can recover from mental illness when they play an active and empowered role in their recovery.

Unity House provides social, recreational and educational programs for individuals living with a mental illness. A monthly newsletter is a good resource for current activities.

Mental Health Advocacy

CMHA-SOS offers individual advocacy services which are accessed directly by individuals with a mental health disorder living in the South Okanagan Similkameen. Advocacy is currently by appointment only.

The Thrive Learning Centre fosters a safe, supportive and inclusive environment that is open to everyone and aims to engage participants in meaningful discussion around each topic area that we cover.

Wellness Grant Fund

The purpose of the Wellness Grant Program is to administer consumer involvement funds for advocacy, self-help, education and consumer initiatives specifically endorsed by the local Funding Criterion Committee.

Supportive Employment

CMHA provides vocational programs for mental health clients. CMHA is gradually building up this program through contracts for snow shoveling, car detailing and janitorial services.
